The explosion that rocked the Ahlstrom’s energy plant late last night in Nottinghamshire has raised some serious concerns to all of England's energy suppliers. Authorities have not been able to confirm if this was an accident or a terrorist sabotage. The Home Secretary's statement at an urgent meeting at the House of Commons assures the British people that there is no reason to panic and alternate supplies are on hand.

UK's entire energy policy straddles on importing and processing liquefied gas supplies. The plant will be closed for at least 6 months and London now has only 20% of supplies that its power stations need. The alternate is to increase the pipe supplies, i.e. Norway or buy from its economic allies. The Russians want more than financial rewards and the emerging gas and oil economies in Eastern Europe want "instantaneous friendships" to empower their new found political freedom!

This unprecedented energy crisis threatens to hold London hostage to the rolling power cuts that will be implemented to 3 to 5 hours across the Capital.
London needs Gas now!
10.11.2020: 09:54hrs
Gas negotiations are under way and the Home Secretary is urgently addressing the House of Commons to what options do Londoners have, to overcome the severe gas shortages which could cause a bitter strife between its political factions. Health experts are warning that the threshold could reach into the high thousands of homes that will be derived of heat and light. In forty-eight hours or less, the lights would go off and the Banking crisis would look like "a walk in the park", if the British Government does not get this catastrophe sorted out immediately!

London's reserve would not last for more than a week which must be kept confidential from the press. But the BBC hourly newsflash revealed that the English Foreign Secretary has settled for a compromising deal with the Russians to provide emergency short term supplies. Ministers at the Home Office have dismissed opposition claims of chaos at the heart of the Government while the Prime Minister is determined on running the country and ensuring economic recovery. Without a "quick deal" the immediate future for the City of London will be very dark and very cold!
